Auto insurance and other similar white hat lead gen deals are most popular on Facebook and native traffic sources. Because of this, many people don’t know that these types of offers work really well with push traffic sources as well.

Many people mistake push traffic for cheap and sometimes low quality traffic, which can be true, so it’s important to only run on the best push traffic sources like Zeropark.

In this step-by-step tutorial, I’ll show you how we run a successful push traffic auto insurance campaign with Zeropark.

Let’s go!

Spy on competitors

First, we’ll start by spying on the most profitable advertising campaigns from competitors to see which ad and landing page combinations work best for other partners. We do this by using spy tools. The best spytool for push traffic sources is Adplexity Push, so we’re going to use it.

Once we load Adplexity, we’ll search for the keyword ‘Auto Insurance’ on the landing pages to see only relevant campaigns.

Adplexity

Then select the target region. In our case it is the USA.

Adplexity

This way we see the latest auto insurance campaigns running on push traffic sources.

But that’s not what we want, we just want to find the most profitable campaigns so let me show you how to do that.

First set the date filter to ” last 30 days ”.

Adplexity

Then sort the ads by the most traffic.

Adplexity sorts the ads based on which ads or campaigns are generating the most traffic for them (in other words, they are making the most money).

Then, look at the first five to ten ads that are getting the most traffic to see what types of images, text, and landing pages they use.

Here are some examples of the top performing ad and landing page combinations right now:

Once you have your landing pages ready, the next step is to set up tracking.

Campaign Tracking

I use Redtrack to track my campaigns as I think it is the best campaign tracking software available.

To start a campaign in Redtrack, you first need to add your offer source, your offer, your landing page and your traffic source.

Select Supply Sources and click + New to add the Supply Source.

RedTrack

Then select your affiliate network from the list and click Add.

RedTrack

If you can’t find the network you’re working with, just click Create Custom and add it manually.

Next you need to add the offer. Select Offers and click + New.

RedTrack

Then you need to enter the offer name, select the offer source and add your unique affiliate link.

RedTrack

* Don’t forget to add your ” Affiliate Network Parameter ” = {clickid} to the URL.

Next, you’ll need to add your landing page so select countries and hit + New.

RedTrack

Then all you have to do is enter a name for your landing page and your lander’s URL.

RedTrack

Next up is the traffic source. We will run campaigns on Zeropark, this is our source of traffic. Select Traffic Sources, click + New

RedTrack

Find Zeropark in the list and click Add.

RedTrack

Once you have all of this, it’s time to create your first tracking campaign. To do this, click on Campaigns and + New.

RedTrack

Then enter the name of your campaign and select Zeropark as the traffic source.

RedTrack

Next, in the Funnels section, you need to add your landing page and offer.

RedTrack

You can add multiple offers or countries to the A / B test by clicking the green buttons.

That’s it! Now copy your campaign click url by selecting your campaign and clicking on the url icon.

RedTrack

That is the final url that you will be promoting on Zeropark.

Push campaign setup on Zeropark

First, log into your Zeropark account, click on New Campaign and select Push.

Next, you can choose from 3 different targeting options:

RON: Buy all available traffic from the target country

-Target: Use this option once you have identified your top performing goals

-Source: Use once you’ve identified your top performing sources

Zero parking

If you don’t already have a whitelist of the best jobs / sources, you should start with a RON campaign and whitelist yourself.

Then enter your campaign name and select a campaign status after it’s approved.

Zero parking

Next, you’ll need to upload your ads and paste your Redtrack link in the Destination URL box.

The next step is targeting. First select the destination country, then the language, select non-adults and the device type. Always include different device types in separate campaigns. Now I will only target mobile devices and then create a separate campaign that will target desktop devices only.

Zero parking

Next, you can set frequency filters, which essentially means how many times your ad is shown to the same user per day. I like to use 12h twice a day.

Then you can also set the day separation if you want.

Zero parking

Next up is budget and bids. First, set your bid (I recommend starting with the system suggested bid amount), then add your total budget for the campaign as well as your daily budget.

Click save and that’s it.

Campaign Optimization

After your campaign has been approved, you will have to wait 1-2 days (depending on your daily budget) to collect enough data for optimization. Until then, keep an eye on your campaigns and make sure that all data flows through the Redtrack variables.

To do this, go to your campaign reports in Redtrack, go through all the variables in the SUBS menu and check that you are getting all the data you need.

Once you have enough data, you can start optimizing. Start with the placements (goals) and filter out the ones that are wasting your money and not delivering conversions.

First, stop any low rankings that are spending more than the offer payout without getting any conversions.

To pause a placement, go to Zeropark, select your campaign, go to the Goals page, identify the placement you want to pause and hit the pause button.

You will need to repeat this step regularly until you find your most profitable placements that are best suited for your campaign.

You should also keep an eye on the performance of your ads / creatives. If you see signs that one is doing worse than the other, cut them off.

If you’re using more than one landing page, compare them and eliminate the rest once you’ve gathered enough data to determine which is performing the best. The conversion rate and the click rate are the two most important elements to consider when optimizing your landing pages.

How to use the rules for Zeropark’s automatic optimization

Another really great feature of Zeropark is the ability to create auto-optimization rules and apply them to your campaigns.

To create an optimization rule, go to the Optimization Rules section of your campaign and select “New Rule”.

You can then create optimization rules for targets, for example.

If your offer payout is $ 25, you can create a rule that instantly cuts all placements costing more than $ 25 and results in zero conversions.

As an an example:

Each campaign can have up to 6 optimization rules.

Scale winning campaigns

Once you’ve identified your successful campaigns, it’s time to start scaling. The first step is to create a new TARGET campaign targeting only your top performing placements.

Zero parking

You can set a higher daily budget for this campaign as it will only target the most profitable placements.

You can keep your original campaign running while experimenting with other budgets to see if you can find more profitable placements.

If your offer is available in different GEOs, you can expand your campaign by starting different campaigns for each of these locations. It is highly recommended that you localize (translate) all of your advertising and landing pages to match local languages.

If you want to scale your campaign even further, start new campaigns with your successful ads and landing pages on other traffic sources as well.
